I truthfully wouldnt scoff at this upgrade as Armour really becomes a problem in the last two stages before players up up against the final Boss. I have to admit, this can be a good amount of damage, especially if players are using Boons to get their Special Damage up, though as much as I use the Eternal Spears Special quite a bit more than I use the Special of other Weapons, I prefer to deal more damage using my regular attacks.
